With love from the USA

The story goes like this....  I was taking my father to see some of our ancestry we had heard about in a small village call Goosnargh near Preston. We had heard there was a school named after our ancestors called the Oliverson CofE primary school.  We happen to be staying one night in Glasgow.  When I travel I use to look in the phone books (when we had them) to see if there are any  Oliversons.  Low and behold, I happened onto Pams mother's number.  I gave her a call and she told me she thought her daughter might be interested in speaking with us. When I spoke with Pam, she was overly excited and we made planes to visit them one evening.  Will and her picked up up at the train station and we went out to dinner.  she was so happy to hear about her Oliverson relatives in the States. From that point on we visited her and Will  3 other times during our holidays.  We encouraged her to to come to see us and the rest of our family.  She called us in 2009 and said, she would take us up on our offer.  She stayed around 3 weeks and was able to see the red rock country of southern Utah where a lot of the old cowboy movies were made.  We them took her to Yellowstone park in Wyoming and she could not stop shaking her head saying I cant believe how beautiful this place is.  We had always keep in touch and on our last trip a few years ago we stayed with her and Will and were able to spend some quality time together.  Our daughter was also able to visit with her on a trip she was on and Pam took here to a Scottish dance night.  She had a great time.  We only wish we had gotten to know Pam earlier so we could have spent more time with her as she was just a charm.  She always wanted to say  "Yea,Haw" every time we met like they did in the Westerns.  We also enjoyed getting to know Will and found out he is a famed bridge player.  He always put up with us when we met and talked shop and how the family was doing.  She will surely be missed and I pray that she is in the loving arms of our saviour where she truly belongs.
